In 2021 philip started A Second Chance Show which is dedicated to telling the stories of courageous and fighting individuals, and educating pre and post transplant patients through educational videos and conferences. In Sept 2022 Philip Added a Magazine to the brand dedicated to showing recognition to people doing great work in their communities and field of work. It also has columns dedicated to encouragement, artistic view, exercise and nutrition as well as culinary. The Motto for A Second Chance philip came up with is “we are here to save and change lives”.

About Me
At the age of four years old Philip caught Strept Throat from a family member which ended up reaching his kidney a disease called (poststreptococcal glomerulonephritis). Philip under went a number of biopsies as a young child. He started having seizures caused by his kidney failure. Philips kidneys only functioned at 30% from the young age of four years old til the age of 16. At that time philips kidney function drastically started to fall which caused him to go to peritoneal dialysis. Philip was a senior in high school at this time and didnt allow his illness to run his life. He continued to be active on school sports teams even while on dialysis. Feb 2007 at the age of 17 Philip got “The Call” that he had a kidney waiting for him at UCLA Medical Center

After his transplant philip returned back to Gardena high school to receive his diploma and graduate.After Graduation philip was able to experience an event he feels every transplant recipient,living donor, donor family, supporter, transplant doctor and nurses should experience. The US Transplant Games which were held in Pittsburgh, PA. In 2010 philips kidney unfortunately rejected placing him back on dialysis. 3months after being on dialysis philip had to have emergency brain surgery due to a subdural hematoma caused by the heparin thats used during dialysis. In 2016 philip returned back to college and went back to theatre and joined a club dedicated to minorities that had dreams of becoming a teacher. Since 2018 philip has achieved 5 awards with this theatre program. In 2021 philip started A Second Chance Show which is dedicated to telling the stories of courageous and fighting individuals, and educating pre and post transplant patients through educational videos and conferences. Between Nov 2021 and Nov 2022 Philip has collaborated with other transplant advocates and have hosted 4 conferences dedicated to transplant life.Sept 2022 Philip added another component to A Second Chance by starting A Second Chance magazine which recognizes individuals doing great work in the community and their field of work.. It also has columns dedicated to encouragement, artistic view, exercise and nutrition as well as culinary. The Motto for A Second Chance philip came up with is “we are here to save and change lives”.
